An example of increasing the awareness of differences between cultures

On friday I brought my students from 9th grade to Rundetårn, to watch the exhibition: "Hungry Planet". I recommend this to everybody, because it is such an eye-opener. Most of the material and information is well known to all of us, but the exhibition shows, that it is not fiction or theory. Globalization has meant a lot of good to civilization - but also destroyed cultures. Equal possibilities are further away, than we can imagine, there are no excuses for not taking action in our own lives to help minimize the damage we are doing by consuming more than we need. The exhibition tells the stories of 30 different families consuming habits in 24  countries around the globe. We get to compare.
